How we built supplier routing logic that checks stock across multiple warehouses and automatically routes orders to the right supplier.
A B2B distributor was struggling with a manual, error-prone dropshipping workflow. Their operations team was drowning in repetitive data entry, manually forwarding orders from Shopware to multiple suppliers via email and phone.
The client's business was scaling, but their operations couldn't keep pace. Errors were damaging customer relationships, and labor costs were eating into margins.
We built a multi-supplier routing system that automatically checks stock across suppliers and routes orders to the right warehouse, plus a custom supplier portal for inventory management with bulk CSV import.
The core technical challenge was automating supplier selection. When an order comes in, the system:
Queries each supplier's inventory database to check real-time stock levels for ordered SKUs
If multiple suppliers have stock, selects based on configurable rules (shipping zone proximity, cost, fulfillment speed)
For multi-item orders, splits order across suppliers if no single supplier holds full inventory
Sends formatted order confirmation emails to selected suppliers with fulfillment details (no API integration required)
Automated checks for address formatting, SKU verification, and inventory availability before order processing
Dedicated portal for inventory management with bulk CSV import, order viewing, and shipment tracking updates
We build custom supplier portals and automation systems that eliminate manual dropshipping workflows. Let's discuss your requirements.
